Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this educational activity, learners will be able to demonstrate an understanding of:
How to effectively connect policy to patient care
Examine how policy is created
Understand how to effectively lobby to improve patient outcomes while protecting and strengthening the profession of medicine in Wisconsin
Review ways that various stakeholders and their advocacy efforts impact the practice of medicine
Identify tools and resources to improve physician involvement in public policy making.
Method of Participation Participants view the presentation and listen to the synchronized audio of the recorded lecture. After completing the activity, participants must complete an evaluation and a post-test in which they must answer at least 75% of the answers correctly in order to receiveAMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. The participant cannot proceed to request credit until this score is achieved.
